Loss of Dispatcher

Dear 911 CARES,

I am a dispatcher for the City of Oregon, Ohio. We are a small police department, with a dispatch roster of 10 (full time). We dispatch for police and fire for the city, also dispatch fire for the nearby Jerusalem Township, among numerous other duties. We just lost one of our dispatchers very unexpectantly to a massive coronary. Suanne (Sue) Mottmiller was only 46 yrs old, married, with an adult daughter, and several adult step children. She also had a couple of grandchildren. She had been a full time dispatcher for the city since Dec 16th. 2002. She was a bright, cheerful woman, who got along well with her co-workers. She had many friends, enjoyed parties, loved to entertain, travel and cook. She took her job seriously and did it well. She was well thought of by the other dispatcher and the police officers. She will be missed.

We ask that thoughts and prayers go to her husband Joe, daughter Leanne, and the rest of her family and loved ones. Cards may be sent to:

Oregon Police Department
5330 Seaman St
Oregon, OH 43616

Thank you.
