Dispatcher Loses Husband in Tragic Accident

Dear 911cares,

Today, my coworker & friend, Samantha Brown, lost her husband, Chad Brown, in a motorcycle accident. According to the news report, he was struck by a vehicle that was coming out of a driveway onto a major highway. Samantha has been with Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office since January 2010. She's a 911 operator & dispatcher for Police, Fire Department, & Medical. Samantha is 23 years old. She & her husband had known each other for 15 years, & were married for 3 or 4 years. Samantha is a very caring, strong person, a great dispatcher, team player, & friend. I can only imagine how she's feeling, as I've never been in her situation.

Chad Brown was also in a career of public service, working as a Correctional Officer at Hunt Correctional Facility. He also aspired to be a Police Officer, & I'm sure he will be missed greatly by his coworkers, friends, & family. He was also a Volunteer Fireman.

I don't know their financial situation, but I'm sure this tragedy will cause strain on Samantha. If there is anything that 911cares can do to assist her during this time, I'm sure it would be greatly appreciated.
