Rock Island City (IL) Dispatcher in Need of Support for Husband

I wanted to know if 911 CARES could get dispatchers from across the country together for some thoughts/prayers for a long-time dispatcher (over 30 years) that has been working for my center for a few years now. Her name is Janis Green and her husband whom goes by Jr has been diagnosed with throat cancer. He was a Rock Island City IL firefighter and recently retired. Jr was diagnosed just a couple months ago and is undergoing a vast amount of treatments to try and get this under control and hopefully cured.

Jr is having a very rough time regarding the kemo and radiation treatments and the feeding tube that was put in place. I am asking for any help, cards, etc for Jan and her family during this rough situation. Jan is trying to take the best care of her husband she can and also has been taking care of her elderly mother whom lives with Jan and her husband. Jan's sick and vacation time is running out due to this unforeseen illness but like all people would do family comes first. I would appreciate deeply whatever you can do and whatever 911 CARES can do! Myself and another dispatcher attended your Policy and Procedure workshop last year from the Arsenal. We had a great time, learned lots and know your group and organization truly cares about those people involved in emergency services.
