Lewisville (TX) Challenge

I am the manager of a small Communications Center in North Texas (Highland Village Police Department) and one of my employees is battling Lymphoma for the 3rd time in the recent past. Candice has just started Chemotherapy for the 3rd time in approximately 2 years.

Her name is Candice Stinnett, she is 24 years old, is married and has a young son. Her family is struggling day to day with skyrocketing medical costs and other issues related to her illness. What makes her special is her ability to keep a positive, upbeat and energizing attitude and she is not letting any of this get her down. She is an excellent dispatcher and employee and has made it her personal goal to continue working even while going through several taxing rounds of Chemo.

Candice came to us from a nearby police agency and has been a dispatcher for about 3 years. She has worked here less than 1 year but is an amazing person and employee. She is a trainer in our organization and has become an integral part of our daily operations. Candice is so wonderful and dedicated to what she does, the job and everything it entails just comes naturally to her. She had decided to make this her life's work, and I feel that we as a group should emulate her positive, caring attitude when dealing with the day in, day out rigors of emergency communications.

The reason I am writing is to see if 911 Cares could provide her with any assistance. I have attended several of your classes over the years and am a big fan of you and the 911 cares organization.

One of the dispatchers she met at a training class in Lewisville, Texas created the attached flyer which describes Candice more than I can in this e-mail.

Any assistance that 911 Cares or other organizations could provide would be greatly appreciated.
