Eddy County (NM) Dispatcher in Need of Help Dear 911CARES, I met Jeanette Brennan in 2007 when she started working for Eddy County Central Communications Authority. I work for the Artesia Fire Department. Jeanette has been a most efficient Dispatcher/Supervisor. She is a solid worker. Jeanette has to drive 30 miles one way every day to work. Jeannette is involved in a lot of charity programs. She has been vital assesst to how we respond. She has been involved in changing our department's standard operating response. Jeanette has been a key role in several programs for the progress of Eddy County. Jeanette is the type of person that would anything for anybody. I really would like to see if she can get great help. She is in desperate need. I do not want to see her struggle through this already difficult time. In May of this year, she was taken by ambulance to the emergency room for abdominal pain. During that visit, she found out she was pregnant and due January 9th, which explained a lot of the sickness she was feeling. She continued to be extremely sick for several months, losing quite a bit of weight. In August, she had her first ultrasound and during that ultrasound they found an issue with the baby’s kidneys. She was immediately set up with an appointment in Albuquerque, NM to see specialists. During that appointment it was determined that the right kidney of the baby was full of cysts and not functioning. The cystic kidney was taking up almost half of the baby’s body. The good news, the left kidney worked and was creating enough amniotic fluid for survival. The doctor’s determined that she needed to be monitored closely due to the baby’s condition as well as Jeanette’s age, the fact that she had a kidney removed when she was a baby, and she had been so ill the first several months. The multiple trips to Roswell for local doctor and Albuquerque for specialists began immediately. She worked her full supervisor duty around her appointments and continued working until the doctor finally wanted her to stop working after several dizziness and fainting spells. She was then sent to another doctor, a cardiologist, to check out her heart to make sure the spells weren’t cardiac related. The baby was also having small changes in her heart rhythm (PAC’s) and more monitoring and more visits to doctors were required. Jeanette was put on a heart monitor that she is required to wear for thirty days. The baby has been diagnosed with MUTLICYSTIC DYSPLASTIC DISEASE. During one of the first visits to Albuquerque they decided she would need to deliver the baby in Albuquerque so that tests and possible surgery could be performed. She will need to stay in Albuquerque for several weeks before delivery (December 19th) and possibly stay longer depending on what happens after delivery. At her last visit, she had an ultrasound which showed the baby is already at 6 lbs (approx 2 lbs heavier than normal at 90th percentile) and may double weight by delivery. The baby is still holding on and doing well and they are hoping that she can deliver naturally. She has very little family that can or will assist. At this time, her sister-in-law has been helping her with driving but can only do so much. The father of the baby has not been in the picture during the pregnancy. I know she has used up her vacation and sick leave, and due to all the trips back and forth to the doctors and hotel stays, she is behind. She has been stressing about how she was going to keep up with her bills, pay for all the trips and hotel rooms, and get items ready for the baby. She currently fixing to lose her only means of transportation due to payments. I would really like to find help for her and I know she would be so grateful for any help. Again, Ms Brennan is need of desperate help. Thank you,
