Davidson County 9-1-1 (NC) Dispatcher Displaced by Fire Needs Help

Last night in the evening hours, a fire at the Raintree Apts displaced approximately 20 people including a local 9-1-1 hero. Amanda Still, a telecommunicator with Davidson County 9-1-1 since May of 2010, lost her home and possessions to the fire. Amanda, who was not at home during the event, returned home to try and locate her two dogs after realizing the apartments would not be inhabitable and there would be a need to find temporary housing until the apartments could be cleaned and renovated to livable conditions. The High Point Fire Department did state the damage to the apartment was generated from the smoke damage and any cloth materials (furniture, bed linens, etc.) and clothing were ruined.

To donate clothing Amanda's clothing sizes are:

Shirt - Medium or Large
Pants - men's 36 x 30
Shoes - 9 1/2 S

She will also need:

Food
Toiletries
Towels
Washcloths

She has 2 dogs, one rat terrier and one pit bull Rottweiler mix puppy and all toys and supplies will be needed as well. Davidson County 9-1-1 Employees are actively participating in funding/donations drives as well.

Donations of non-monetary items can be sent to:

Davidson County 9-1-1
c/o Tabetha DeLapp
949 N Main Street
Lexington, NC 27292

She had mostly smoke damage and they said anything that is cloth or her clothes are probably all ruined. A PayPal account has been set up to assist with the purchase and replacements of everything that will still be rendered destroyed and useless. To make monetary donations you can send through PayPal to georgeams@aol.com

If more details are needed contact Tabetha Delapp at DC911 at 336.242.2132
