Wreck Claims Life of Russell County Dispatcher

911 CARES is saddened to share the news of a death of a Russell County, Kentucky dispatcher. She was on her way to work and her own agency received the 9-1-1 calls. We ask that you send a card or prayer in the direction of the Russell County team. The address is listed below. 

Wreck Claims Life of RC 911 Dispatcher

Wednesday, April 22, 2009 -- A Russell County 911 Dispatcher was killed in a one vehicle wreck just before 11 o'clock last night, while she was reportedly on her way to work. State Police say 37 year old Tammy Parke of Columbia was traveling south on Ky. 1729, near the Russell-Adair County line, when she lost control of her 1995 Ford Explorer resulting in the vehicle leaving the roadway, striking an embankment and overturning. Parke was pronounced dead at the scene by the Adair County Coroner. Trooper Dewayne Holder's investigation is continuing.
