Hewitt TX Dispatcher in Need of Support

Dear Kevin and 911 CARES,

My name is Danna Garcia, and I work for Bellmead Police Department in Bellmead, Texas.  A good friend of mine, Misty Gammel, works for Hewitt Police Department in Hewitt, Texas.  Last night around 2330 hours, she went next door to check on her mother, and found her deceased.  This was unexpected.  Her mother, Ida Sawyer, was 60 years old, and within the last 6 months had hip replacement surgery.  Last week, Ida fell on the hip that she had surgery on, and pulled several muscles.  Ida had not been able to move around very well since the fall.  Yesterday evening around 2000 hours, Misty fixed Ida some supper, then told her that she would be back over for nightly medications and a visit with her mother and her Grandmother, whom also lived with Ida, and is bed ridden with several health issues.  When Misty got there around 2330 hours, she went in and checked on her "Granny", then went to her mother's room.  That is when she found her mother not responding.  Misty is like a sister to me, as all of my family is in Oregon, and Ida was like a Mom to me.  I am just asking for prayers for Misty and her family during this difficult time for her.
