Tracy Larson Update

I am sorry we have not gotten an update to you earlier. Tracy is doing very well. She was transferred to a long term care facility for rehab on July 16th. Her wound in her stomach from the gunshot is healing, and all signs of infection have cleared up. She is going through physical therapy on her hip, which was broken as a result of the gunshot. As of August 13th her orthopedic surgeon said she can put 50% of her weight on the injured hip. He said if all goes well she may be able to come back to work in 6-8 weeks depending on how her hip heals between now and then.
We appreciate all the care and concern expressed to us during this stressful time. In talking to Tracy she has mentioned it has really helped her spirits to hear how much support she has and is still receiving from the 911 community. We are blessed to be part of such a caring profession! It gives new meaning to the term “Silent Heroes.”
