Hello, my name is Jewlee Vallare and I am a Communications Supervisor for Lifecom in Modesto CA. On 04/11/2008, as one of our Emergency Fire/EMS call takers was at work, she received a call from her family. Four of her friends and family had been wounded in a tragic shooting. One was her own husband Vang, who was shot in the head and chest with their 4 year old Nicholas present at the scene. Thankfully, her son is unharmed. Vang and 3 others were at home in their own garage when someone walked up to them and pulled out an automatic weapon and fired. The survivors say they had never seen this person before. It is just a senseless act of violence. Vang unfortunately didn’t survive his injuries. Nou has worked with American Medical Response/Lifecom for 2 years and has been an absolute joy and asset to our family and the communities in which she serves. Nou is only 21 years old and is left raising her son Nicholas now on her own. This tragedy has clearly affected her family at home and her 2nd family at work.
