Joilet (IL) Dispatcher in Need of Support Dear 911 CARES , You may recall when you were at our Users’ Conference that I discussed the possibility of you initiating a 9-1-1 Activation on behalf of one of our dispatchers. Lisa Crompton is a Communications Shift Supervisor at the Joliet 9-1-1 Center. She is a 15 year veteran, a member of Joliet’s TERT, a peer assistant and an EMD instructor. Truly, one of those people that lives to give! On September 23rd while on her way home from work, an SUV pulled out in front of her motorcycle. As a result, she was critically injured and airlifted to Loyola Medical Center’s Trauma center. She suffered a shattered pelvis, numerous broken bones and other many other injuries. This past week she underwent 9 hours of surgery to repair her pelvis and has more surgeries scheduled. While the length of her recovery is still unknown, we can assume it will be a long one. Lisa is married to Keith, who has been by her side since the accident and has a teenage daughter, Elizabeth. I am sure that Lisa would appreciate knowing that she is not alone as she struggles to recover from this tragic accident. Flowers are difficult at this point, so please send any cards, etc., to: Lisa Crompton, c/o Joliet Communications, 150 W. Washington St., Joliet, IL 60432 Thank you so much for everything you do!
