Michigan State PoliceMichigan State Police Dispatcher in Need of Support!

Dear 911 Cares,

I am writing to request a "911 Cares" activation for one of our dispatchers, Kristina Rodgers.  Kristina has been a dispatcher with the Michigan State Police Second District Regional Dispatch Center in Detroit, Michigan since August of 2003.  She is always willing to help others.  She was recently diagnosed with Stage II Hodgkins lymphoma.  Her first chemo treatment is scheduled for Weds, Nov 26th, and she will receive chemotherapy every two weeks for a period of 8 months.

Kristina is in good spirits and very positive about her chances.    Kristina was married earlier this year, and is the mother of an 10 year old daughter, Denise, and step mother to 13 year old  Emily. Currently Kristina plans on continuing to work while taking treatments as much as she can to stay active and positive.  She commutes to work from her home in Ohio.

I would like to encourage dispatchers from all over the USA to send prayers, get well cards, letters, or notes of encouragement to Kristina.  They can be sent to my attention and I will be sure she gets them.
