Kristi Barrier
Glendale (AZ) Police Department

Kristi Barrier has been employed with the Communications Division of Glendale Police Department since April 2007.  In just over a year, Kristi has experienced several hardships.  Soon after completing a rigorous training program to become a dispatcher, her father was diagnosed with terminal cancer and she began helping her mother care for him.  This was in addition to going through a difficult divorce and holding second part-time job to make ends meet for her and her children, Zane 12 years and Nicole 14 years.

Her doctors at St. Joe’s have diagnosed her with multiple sclerosis lesions on her spine. Kristi will also need to have brain surgery with in the next week. With these severe medical conditions she is unable to work in Communications or at her part time job which is causing her added stress. Time off has depleted all her sick time and vacation time.  She has been unable to work due to her existing medical condition and, as a result has been under tremendous stress.  Although, she is very grateful to her police “family” who has contributed vacation hours to her, she needs monetary support to help her through this difficult time. We all know the last thing she needs to be concerned about while trying to get better is how she’s going to pay her bills.

We will be having a spaghetti benefit dinner for Kristi and her family Friday July 25 from 11:00 am to 7:00 PM at 12851 N. 19 Avenue, all proceeds will go to Kristi and her family. We are looking for donations to raffle off and would appreciate any assistance that your company can provide us with. An account has been set up at Bank of America in the name of The Kristi Barrier Fund.  If you are able to donate any item please contact Loretta Hadlock at 623-363-5796 Any assistance that can be provided to Kristi and her family is greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your support.
