Redwood City, CA Kim Bowman Dispatcher Kim Bowman lost her entire house last night to fire. Let’s do what we can to help her. I spoke with her co-workers and they are asking for ANYTHING that will help her re-build her life. We strongly suggest new or gently used donations and WAL MART Gift cards. We have confirmed there is a WAL MART in town. There is also an address listed below that you can send donations to. Make checks payable Kim Bowman. Kim will be 52 on her birthday, January 31st. She has been employed as a Baxter County 911 Dispatcher since July of 2005. Prior to coming to Baxter County, Kim was a Montgomery County Missouri dispatcher for a year and a Marion County Deputy Sheriff for seven years. She is single and works the 6 p.m. To 6 a.m. Shift for Baxter County. The past three months have been especially hard for Kim. In early December while working the night shift, Kim's appendix ruptured at work. She is an exceptionally dedicated dispatcher and we almost had to take her dispatch station to the hospital with her in order to get her to go to the hospital. Emergency surgery was performed as soon as she got to the hospital. This required her to be off for two weeks after the major surgery. Kim is 5 foot five and weighs 145 pounds. She wear a size 9 shoe and loves to wear loose fitting, stretch type clothing. We are attempting to obtain items to help her get back on her feet. When she was able to exit her home at three in the morning from the fire, the only thing she was able to leave with was the clothing she wore and her intense determination to keep going. Since her home was totally destroyed, we are using our Dispatch Center address that you can send cards, letters and donations to: Baxter County 911 E-mail wishes or inquiries can be sent to their 9-1-1 Director Tom Fischer-Baxter OEM baxtercounty911@centurytel.net Your thoughts and prayers for a fellow dispatcher will be greatly appreciated by Kim and the Baxter County Communications Center Personnel.
