Clinton County (MI) Dispatcher Needs Support This e-mail is from 9-1-1 professional Jan Goswick of Michigan. The address to help Jan and her daughters is listed below along with her e-mail. As you can see, she has received one donation from a Dispatch association within Michigan but she could still use your help. -- 911 CARES FROM JAN: My daughters and I moved into our house 6 months ago. I had just signed papers to purchase the house through a land contract as of January 1st 2009. I cancelled my renters insurance a month ago to have a little extra money for Christmas presents for the girls since my homeowners insurance would go into effect on Jan 1. Needless to say that was a HUGE mistake! Because of that none of the contents in the house are covered by insurance, and everything that was not burned in the fire is damaged beyond repair from smoke damage. The fire was Monday morning at 2am and the entire day I believe I was in shock. Running around meeting with the fire marshal, insurance adjusters, salvation army, the hotel we are staying at etc. Yesterday I came into work, shut my blinds and door and cried for almost four hours. I just had no idea what I was going to do. I had enough money to stay at a hotel for 3 days and then it was to Tammy (my assistant directors) basement. Tim called me when I was on my way home and told me what the MCDA had decided to do and I had to pull over off the road because I couldn't drive I was crying so hard. This money will allow me and my girls to stay at the hotel and give me time to form a plan. You are all the most amazing group of people and I am honored to work with you and call you my friends. You are truly my angels and words cannot say how thankful we are! God Bless, Jan Goswick Those of you wishing to contribute monetarily, please send your money in care of MCDA (Laurie Smalla, Meceola Central, 20701 Northland Dr. Paris , MI ). All money received in excess of the $1,000 advanced, will be forward to Jan. A fire at anytime of the year is devastating, but during the holidays! Please continue keeping Jan and her two girls in your prays. Director James Fyvie, ENP - |
