Ike Update
First, I would like to thank those of you who took immediate action to begin getting much needed supplies to the PSAP personnel in the devastated areas affected by Hurricane Ike. Each day brings new information on the losses experienced by our fellow emergency professionals. At least 10 dispatchers and their families lost their homes. Many more had severe flooding and damages to their property. And so we continue to ask for your prayers and assistance as they begin putting their lives back together again.
I wanted to let you know that monetary contributions are now also being accepted. An account has been established at Bank of America under the name “National Emergency Number Association-TX Chapter ***Hurricane Ike Relief Fund”.
When making a donation, please include the name of the donor, address, amount, deposit date, etc. so we can track contributions.
