Ike Update

We are happy to share that we had a $1,000 donation that allowed some special purchases to be made. Sherry Decker went shopping and spent all of it.  The deployment team leaving today are taking everything down.  Our TERT Team in League City called the surrounding agency dispatchers and asked them what could they do for them.  The dispatcher literally cried, overwhelmed that someone would think of their needs (it’s been an emotional 12 hours). The emergency teams on site asked for toiletries: Here is a list of added needs beyond our initial request for items:

Mouthwash, toothpaste, toothbrushes, floss, Multi purpose contact cleaner, Shampoo, conditioner, hairspray, Razors, shaving cream, feminine hygiene stuff, Deodorant, hand sanitizer, bug spray,  Sleeping bags, ChapStick, water bottles, Bath towels, wash clothes, Body Wash, tylenol, Combs and brushes.   

Also, Positron, has been very gracious by providing funds to pay for the TX-TERT shirts for team members.  It’s early, but due to the generosity of our supporters, we have renewed energy.  Thank you, thank you, thank you. -
