911 CARES – POSSIBLE Gustav Activation for the Gulf Coast

We have received numerous e-mails offering help for the Gulf Coast through 911 CARES as Hurricane Gustav approaches. We deeply appreciate those offers and we are waiting to hear if there will be a need.

911 CARES reminds you NOT to self-deploy. You will only be in the way of official assistance. We will post any information regarding the deployment of TERT or other deployable teams. We have made personal and e-mail contact with many of our existing agency contacts offering assistance.

Though this is a 3-day holiday weekend, we have offered 24 hour contact information to request assistance.

If you are within the hurricane area and you need assistance, please e-mail catherine@pstc911.com or call us at 800-348-8911 or 650-591-7911 x105. You can also e-mail Kevin Willett at Kevin@pstc911.com for assistance. We will continue to update our site as we get calls of help or personal stories from dispatchers. Donations and supplies ARE NOT being requested at this time but that may change.
