911 Dispatchers “Walking for a Cure”
Support breast cancer research.
Santa Clara City Police Dispatch, CA
April 12, 2008

A note from 911 CARES:

We have supported hundreds of causes in the past 7 years and breast cancer research is one we do a great deal for.

We will soon be designing a special breast cancer / 9-1-1 support shirt that we will donate to teams like the one below that does any fund raising for cancer cures. We have also made a donation to the group below and we will be providing them with pink hats and our 911 breast cancer support pins. We’d love it if you would make a donation to their cause, see below for you can make your donation!

Dear 911 CARES,

A couple of the dispatchers from Santa Clara PD Communications were talking one night and discovered we almost all know someone in our circle of family, friends and/or co-workers that are fighting or who have fought breast cancer.  So, we decided to do something about it.  We have gotten together to form Team Super TaTa’s and will be walking in the City of Pleasanton’s “Bra’s for the Cause” 10K walk/fundraiser on Saturday May 10th.

If there is a way this qualifies as an announcement on your website, we sure could use some donations for the cause.  People can go directly to our fundraising page to help.
