Marissa Monroe
17-month old Daughter of St. Joseph (MI) Dispatcher

12-3-2006 St Joseph, Michigan Dispatcher’s daughter Marissa needs your prayers.

Dear 911 CARES,

My name is Candace Scott and I work for St Joseph County Central Dispatch in Michigan.  I attended a PSTC seminar at Eaton County several years ago.

Our center received unfortunate news today.  Our coworker, Tracy Monroe found out that her 17 month old daughter has stage 4 cancer. They have diagnosed her with a neuroblastoma.  It has also spread to her bone marrow. Tracy is a wonderful coworker and has very little sick time left due to time she has used to care for her daughter.

The daughter with cancer is Marissa. She also has a 4-year old daughter McKenzie. At this time we are asking for prayers and cards of support. We are organizing a benefit that we will let you know about. We ask that fellow dispatch professionals send cards, letters, small gifts or donations to our dispatch center:

Address for our center St Joseph Co 911 620 E Main Centreville, MI 49032

As far as treatment they are going to start chemotherapy this weekend, and if all goes well, they will travel to the University of Michigan to do a bone marrow transplant.  The tumor is the size of two fists put together.

I will gladly pass on e-mails and well wishes or answer any questions, they can be e-mailed to:
